On Saturday morning, we happened upon the Little Falls Historical Society as opened. The library seemed to have a more extensive research collection, but I was able to find an obituary of Charles Thomas before the society closed for the day. They told me how to get to Fairview. It is a privately owned cemetery and not well kept. Chris and I uncovered all of the stones in search of Phoebe. I found her daughter, Jane Thomas McDonald, Jane's husband, Charles, and their son Lester, who died in service, under a tree. I thought Phoebe MUST be nearby. I finally found her, William, and their son-in-law's family on the other side of the cemetery. There. Phebe Hulsaver Thomas. Finally. |
